The reds and the greens will combine at annual tractor event

In the world of vintage tractor collectors, you're either faithful to the red, or your fidelity bleeds green.

Red is the signature color of the International Harvester tractor, green the unmistakable calling card of the John Deere tractor.

"Us tractor guys, we have a kind of thing – like Ford and Chevy people have," said tractor enthusiast Bill Son, 74. "Me? I'm a Farmall guy."

An elderly Frankfort man is recovering at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital after his tractor flipped over Saturday morning.

Leslie J. Mitchell, 70, had just finished dumping some dirt at his McCann Lane home around 9:30 a.m. when his Farmall 1066 tractor started going backwards downhill, struck a tree and rolled over, pinning Mitchell underneath, his wife told responding Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies.

Enfield farmer killed in tractor accident

ENFIELD, Maine — An 84-year-old farmer was killed Sunday when he was crushed between a fallen tree and the steering column of his tractor after it backed into woods on his land on Dodlin Road, Maine State Police said Monday.

The body of Cassius Fall was found by a relative about an hour after the accident occurred at about 8 a.m., state police Trooper Matt Grant said.
