Postby mikes5785 » Wed Feb 22, 2017 4:09 pm

What are the fasteners use to hold the hood to the dash panel. and where can I get some?

My Loboy has bolts and I believe they should be screws

You can get them at your local hardware store also.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Yep, ask for Truss Head screws, 1/4 x 20 for the dash and grill.

The hood originally had nuts spot welded to the backside of the screw holes...often they have broken loose, so you may have to tack weld some back on.

Site sponsor TM Tractor Supply not only has everything you need, but good pictures of what fasteners go where and which ones apply to round hood versus square hood.

Here, if you ask for a truss head screw, you get a strange look! Even one of the big industrial suppliers, only has them in Phillips head, But at least you don't get "that look".

TM Tractor, one of our sponsors, has the correct slotted truss head in SS.
That's where I got mine.
