New Little Addition. :)

Postby edperkovich » Thu Feb 23, 2017 9:06 pm

Well I brought I home the latest addition to our collection. Besides our "H" and IH 574, we have now added a 1957 International Cub Low-Boy. Here are some pictures of the ride home. Sure gave my little Blazer a workout!

Looks like a great haul.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

That is a bunch of weight hanging on it. Looks like the disk is for a Farmall.

The weight was put on by the previous owner because he had a 100 gallon spray rig hanging off the back. It sounds like the 100 gallons of liquid was a little much for the little guy...hence the additional weight up front. I think it will come off in fairly short order.

Not sure on the disk....it is an original quick hitch set-up. I need to find model numbers on all the implements.

Jim is right, that disk is for a Farmall Cub and not a lo-boy.

Hi,
Nice looking LoBoy. Here is the Cub L38 Disc owner's manual. It shows the difference in the Farmall Cub and LoBoy Fast Hitch discs. The LoBoy disc is made so it is up closer to the tractor, it looks like.
It also shows the disc for the drawbar. :)

Nice little tractor and with all those implements too. Talk about one stop shopping.
I'd be concerned for the bolster and front wheel bearings with all that added weight up there.
I'm guessing it also counter weighted that scraper bucket too.

That weight looks like about 500lbs and is just a little more than a 5' belly mower or a blade cantilevered out in front.
