Hood restoration

Postby tim52 » Sun Apr 01, 2018 4:55 pm

I’m restoring my early cub hood. Looks like it was painted yellow in the past.

I noticed there are three weld scars on each side, were they for some other brackets or clips?

I know I’m missing the hood support brackets.

Thanks for your help.

Those are the holes for the embelms on a 54-58 Cub. The upper 2 holes were for the Small McCormick Emblem. The 4 lower holes were of the "Farmall Cub" or International Cub" emblem.

somebody may have liked those emblems and drilled the hood. The ribs indicate it is an early hood that would have had decals

better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it...( YES this includes CUBS! )

Ah Indy, you are correct! I didn't pay the ribs any attention. My bad.
