Original 100 manure spreader?

Postby BSR » Tue Apr 03, 2018 5:55 pm

I pick up this spreader awhile back and thought it was neet, it has the original decals on it I think. The guy I got it from said it was never painted. So I thought I would post it and let other form members see it. Or if someone is restoring a spreader and they like to copy it.

You've got a nice one. Are the middle two stencils (2nd and 3rd photos) on either side of the levers? I've never seen those before.

Yes Bob, they on on the front and are on both sides of the handles, the steel wheel stencil threw me off a little. Cuz I think the early spreaders wheels where spoke I think.

The early ones had steel wheels with steel spokes. At some point rubber tires became an option.

Here's a pic of a spreader from the Purple Wave website showing the same stencil. Certainly appears to be original. This one was on rubber which probably explains why the steel wheel stencil is missing.

...and it looks like that red longstripe in the background would do the job just fine. :) Nice Cub and spreader! Thanks!
