Poor cub

Postby Drfting1 » Thu Apr 05, 2018 8:02 pm

Wish I was able to make it to this auction, she looks so sad sitting there in the mud, would have loved to make her next winters restore project.....

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

That tractor looks like a perhaps not. It would have to sell very cheap from what I see in the photos.

Been to auctions where a Farmall Cub was listed. Would stop in a few hours before the auction started. Physically inspect the tractor. Not up to my expectations, leave.

Edit: Heck, been to tractor and machinery auctions where the auctioneer's helpers didn't know how to start the machine. Last machinery consignment auction, several machines didn't start. Sold cheap. The watched the purchaser drive up with trailer, start the machine, load on the trailer.
I have an excuse. CRS.

There's a purdy pink square nose at that auction too. My goodness that is a huge bunch of stuff shown. Many older tractors.

Bugeyes is a classic, this cub I posted is at same auction as the pink cub, too bad I have plans for that day, would have liked to check that auction out, a lot of tractors there, have to plan on another cub one day with all the implements I'm restoring :D

i just tried some cast welding rod, I think chewing gum might be stronger. a few taps with a hammer n the piece came right off. it has no strength.
