Headlight Confusion

Postby w30bob » Wed Apr 18, 2018 3:53 pm

Hi Guys,

I just downloaded the '76 Cub Owner's manual and started looking thru it. In the description of the Lighting System on pg 41 it shows pics of both Type 1 and Type 2 headlights, but doesn't say what the differences are. They both look the same in the pics and both have rubber bezels like the rear light.......so I don't know what the difference between the two types are. Also, the headlights on my tractor are not rubber bezel lights. The picture of the whole tractor on pg 3 of the manual shows the same steel bezel headlights I have on mine.....so not sure if I should have the steel bezel headlights on it now or if it should have come with the rubber bezel lights described on pg 41. Does anyone know when the rubber bezel headlights were phased into Cub production?

thanks,
bob

they came out very late on the front lights, do not see many of them around, the other type are correct for you, the rear light with the rubber was around then

The best way to tell if you have the original type head lights on your cub is that if you can see well at night they are not the original type.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
