C 22 Sickle Mower

Postby ajhbike » Sun Apr 29, 2018 8:02 pm

I just picked up a C 22 mower...Great running condition, great shape..... would like to know what years they were produced. The manual says McCormick Cub 22 do I am guessing late 40's?

40's, 50's, 60's and probably 70's.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I gotta wonder, how big is your tool shed? :D I seriously considering building a basic one just for tractors and implements. :coffee:

No shed for the implements...except this one because of the pitman arm...

I actually got this to do some local Land Trust field maintenance. They told me they were 6 old guys armed only with shovels, so they are elated that I have the brush hog, rear blade, disc harrow, dirt scoop, rake and now this.
Ideas for where to buy the knives?

Pretty much any farm supply or tractor dealer. They carry knives, rivets, and some rock guards.

I bet they are, and like you said, it gives you an excuse to use you equipment. I'll be spreading gravel tomorrow with the SC and a 6' box blade for the local historical society, they're pretty excited too. I wanted to try out my new 3 point quick hitch anyway. It was a perfect fit to my fast hitch with my home made points.

Those look great, I like that they angle upwards. 3 pt pins all seem to be set higher than I would like. How does the top link connect?
