Front axle grease zerk missing

Sorry about the blurriness.
I am unable to find a grease zerk for the front axle pivot. There doesn't appear to be one broken off anywhere or a hole for one to be put in. Should I not worry about greasing this or will I have to take it apart and manually put grease in it?

It should be on the very bottom of the pivot, unless someone put it in upside down and it might be on top and hard to see. It probably does have one broken off or packed with dirt and old grease. Crawl underneath and prod around with a small punch or pick and see if you can find it.

It is POSSIBLE to mount the front axle backwards, which would put the grease fitting on the forward half of the pivot, on the LEFT side, rather than where it is supposed to be on the rear half on the RIGHT side. However, it would also have your spindles angled back rather than forward a bit, so you probably would have realized something was wrong. My guess is the same as Shane's...poke and scrape a bit...you'll probably find where one is supposed to be. Item #6 below.

Here’s the tractor picture to go along with the one Dale provided.

Got my missing grease plug all sorted out. The plug was broken off and had a layer of paint over it so it's probably been missing for a long time...

Grease only came out towards the front of the tractor when I was pumping it so I'm not sure if any went towards the rear of the pivot.

You could try jacking the chassis up to take the weight off the pivot pin, then try greasing it again. Sometimes that helps to get the grease to flow in a different direction.

Hi,
Glad you fixed the grease fitting.
If you want to, you could try jacking it up again, and check for wear in the center pivot bushings.
We bought a Cub years ago that the grease fitting there was broken off, and had not been greased in years evidently. The 2 replaceable bushings inside the pivot were worn a lot, and needed replacing.

The wear was mostly on the bottom side of the bushings.
Jack it up so the weight is off the axle to check it.

Below is a listing at TM Tractor for new bushings. :)
