Google Ploworx. I don't know if they have slat bottom parts or not.

I've used a wire wheel and/or sanding discs to clean moldboards. Get it fairly clean then plow with it. A coat of grease will keep it clean between uses. Out of curiosity, what soils or conditions were the slat mouldboards made for? John

I sent them an email trying to find some parts for the chief bottom I was working on last year and I’m still awaiting a response.

Here in South Mississippi it's red clay to sandy loam red clay mix. Most of my fields are over 10" of topsoil before u hit clay hardpan exception is garden up front where an old driveway was. It's hard packed and only 4-6" topsoil then red clay hardpan. All are covered with Bahia grass and/or broomsage grass (means soil is acidic) but before I flip the soil I'm adding layer house manure and lime. (Both are base so will raise pH)

LOL,
Layer houses are what we call chicken houses that are egg laying fertile eggs. Unlike meat chickens and their poop which is acidic, a layer's house chickens poop is full of crushed seashells and calcium which sweetens the soil (less acidic)(and yes sweetens means taste, old-timers can put a small pea sized piece of dirt n taste it then spit it out and tell if soil is sour (acidic) or sweet (basic)).

But to answer your question of what do I feed my house??? To be honest it's Benjamin's. Tons and tons of Benjamin's. But that's because I'm building a new house since old one was damaged by Katrena and insurance never paid to fix it and after a few years it was so far gone it would cost more to repair than to replace. But new one at least looks like a barn so if I ever find another ex Mrs. Dawg n asks if I was raised in a barn I can say yep lol...

Ah, got it, I took it as a typo for a layer of horse manure. I thought all chicken poop was acidic-learn something everyday.
Good luck with that new "house"

I have a regular Plow Chief and yesterday I just plowed an acre of tough ground. It was my first time plowing with a new point and share made by Ploworx. Overall, I was very impressed. There were a few fitment issues. The top edge of the point had to be ground down just a hair to fit. It was very difficult to remove just a little bit of material, a testament to the high quality, tough steel Ploworx uses. Otherwise, there was about a 1/4” gap between the point and the share. This did not seem to impede performance. I just bring it up as my original IH point and share fit tightly together. Even with these very minor issues, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ploworx. I’ve never had an issue getting a hold of them, but I’ve always just called on the telephone.

Wish he made the slatwings. I need the bottom one as about 2" broke off end right at mounting bolt. All other parts look good as plow wasn't used much. I just wanted to get some spare parts if needed and to have just in case. But they look like a good cleaning and a fresh coat of blue IH implament paint n you would think it's new not something made 60-70 years ago.
