If you have a means to lift and suspend the front end/axle you can remove a front wheel and take it out that way. Probably a little easier than suspending the rear on one side, remove a rear wheel and take it out from the rear. JMHO

If the wheels are spaced wide enough, and the deck is solid enough, I have used boards backed up over the deck

Wow, What a Chore. The C3 Mower I had, has had the top strenghtened, and the angle iron supports going to the rear were fully welded along the top of the deck. I had to Put the front axle tube up on Jackstands, Crank the Steering wheel all the way to the Right, and Jack the Right Rear Tire up off of the Ground, enough for the angle iron supports to slide under the tire. Then, took about fifteen minutes to mount up the 54L Plow up front. I think for next year, I need another Cub Lo Boy, to keep the snow plow on, and the Mower on the other!

When I do mine, I just remove the left back wheel and roll the deck out the side.
