Steve, I don't think I've ever heard of a guy in Montana who rebuilds carbs. Cecil, Don McCombs, myself, and others do a lot of them.

Bob I belive it was you ,your names sounds familiar. I am the fellow from Fruitland Idaho and I had it rebuilt december of 2016 or Jan. of 2017 . anyway it is hard to start and leaks really bad ,I need someone to take a look at it or to give me some tips to fix it. It was starting ok and run good but lately it fires once the the starter motor disengages. I choke it with one quick pull and back in and it is flooded and if you don't turn off the gas it will leak all nite on the floor. Any ideas. I could send it to you if need to. Thanks Bob

If you're comfortable opening it up, check the needle valve for debris, and check the float to make sure it's not leaking (check by immersing in hot water and looking for bubbles).

When you take the 4 screws out of the top, pull the top straight up off the bottom portion until the idle tube clears. The tube is fragile and is threaded into the top portion; easy to break.
