McCormick Deering 100 Manure Spreader

Postby cjack » Sun Apr 21, 2019 6:56 pm

I have a lead on what I think is a MD 100 manure spreader. It looks in rough shape. How rare is this implement and what does a good one go for? How popular are they as collector's items?

Don't know how rare they are, but they are a nice addition to any Cub. Bought mine for $75, fixed it up and sold it. Here's a couple post on it:

Take some pictures of the one you're looking at and we'll let you know what we think it's worth...

How rare are they, varies by the area you live. hard to find, yes, but rare, not really. A decent one in my area will bring from 600 to 1,000, just depends on how bad you think you want it.

As for price, I saw one sell at auction for $1300. It was in very good “using condition”; two Amishmen were the contending bidders.

The amish will pay TOP dollar for them, they put steel wheels on them and use.

The chain guards are often removed to facilitate lubrication. Those can be hard to find if they aren't on the one you're looking at.

I just sold a IH 100 speeder about a month ago and got 2000. For it. It was all redone with new floor, tires, paint.
A spreader not all rusted out and with fenders (guards)will feach a good dollar here in NEPA.

Hi, I went to see it today. Unfortunately it's not an MD 100. The sides are wood and it looks smaller to me. I still bought it though, will post some pictures later. The make is mystery, maybe Massey Ferguson.
