Front pulley removal: success!

Postby MikeEyre74 » Wed Apr 24, 2019 6:26 am

Got the front pulley off the machine last night with the big puller that we made up with examples and ideas taken from here. Worked like a champ. Install was just as nice after installing the new seal.

The new seal was a bit thinner than the old one and allowed us to push it in just a tiny bit further than the original wear mark and seal up on a fresh piece of metal around the pulley. Test fire after getting the front end on has it sealed up tight with no leaks. The original was bad!

Anyone in CT or close by need this puller, you’re welcome to use it.

Isn’t it nice when a plan comes together.

Hope you pre lubed the seal and where it rides on the pulley. Good move on the puller.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
