Putting Cyrus to work

Postby radioguy41 » Sun Apr 28, 2019 6:09 pm

With all the heavy rains we've had some serious ruts appear in our road so I thought I'd give the push blade a little workout (plus it gave me an excuse for seat time  ) . Pushing does a good job of breaking everything loose while pulling the blade backwards does a good job of smoothing things out. Every Spring the stone driveway is a mess from snow plowing but this year the push blade did a super job of leveling everything out there as well.

Nice to put your cub to good use. Amazing little machine. I'm just getting mine setup for corn cultivation. Seat time is wonderful. Nice looking cub you have.

They do work good at scraping and redistributing aggregate when front mounted although it can be difficult to keep the blade from diving and creating a low spot. If you're up for the reconfiguration and have a larger grading project, try belly-mounting it. It works fantastic.

I’ve really been surprised by how well the blade works when mounted as a grader. Night and day difference from using it mounted on the front!
