Cultivator Question
I have an extra set of cultivators that was on a second Cub I purchased a few years ago. One of the front toolbars is somewhat shorter than the other. Were there a short and long toolbar offered? This Cub did not have the rear cultivators but had what I believe is a #6 toolbar on it instead. It has the newer white front mounting frames and mismatched tool bars so I assume someone pieced together the set. Thanks for any help.

Re: Cultivator Question
Hi,
Below is the Cub 144 Cultivator owner's manual, if you need it. It has lots of info.

Re: Cultivator Question
Pic would help. There were various configurations of arms from letter and numbers series tractors that would ‘fit’ on the cub frame. But I don’t think they were all offered on the cub. That’s why I pick up other non cub equipment when I can get it cheap, because some of the parts work on cub implements. Checking out the manual Glenn posted will tell you.

Re: Cultivator Question
Thanks for the replies, guess I will have to learn to read first. It does appear according the the manual that a long and short bar were offered. The short bar was for two sweeps on each side and long one for three on each side. Thanks again.

Re: Cultivator Question
The short bar that I have appears to have been that way from the start, very clean cut and edges beveled. May just cut the other to match it.

Re: Cultivator Question
The cultivator manual (at least early ones) said to cut off about 2 inches if the tractor had 9-24, 6-30 or 7-30 tires. There was a part number change that suggests they may have started making them a little shorter.
