Zenith Carb on Cub vs Zenith on A/100/130/140

Postby inairam » Wed Sep 11, 2019 1:41 pm

I recently broke my own 1 model tractor rule and picked up 130 with a zenith carb. Several of my cubs have zeniths

The engine on the 130 is 2 x the size as the c-60 on the cub. I assume there is something different about the carbs but they do look alike on the tractors. I have not had them side by side on a bench.

What are a differences?
When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!

Zenith made about a zillion different model carbs that all look about the same from the outside. Anything inside that has a size specification will vary by model. That is why the Zenith model tag is important. Externally, you will find the spacing of the mounting studs different on the Cub.
