Pump shaft

Does my pump shaft need to be repaired? The shaft measures 0.497" and the groove is 0.491".

You can have the housing machined to accept a lip seal which can be placed away from where the o-ring was riding. A search will bring up posts with seal sizes, etc.

If you choose to not go either of those routes, a new o-ring or possibly an x-ring will probably get the job done. I chose to machine the housing and install a lip seal and have never looked back.
