Loboy Blade works on a Cub

Postby therocket » Sat Dec 03, 2005 7:03 pm

I just sold my Loboy and kept the Grader Blade. I pulled my Cub up to the blade and hooked it up and it works great. I always thought there were two different blade setups. One for the Loboy and a different one for the Cub. I'm confused but happy :D it all worked out with no modifications. My next step is rear wheel weights and chains which are on the way.

Rocket - I have used a lo-boy blade on a standard cub myself. They are different but they will work. The difference is that the hanger brackets are shorter so the blade frame is actually higher off the ground than a cub 54 or 54a blade. If you look at the 2 main push arms on the blade frame you will see that you are pushing downhill on the blade rather than straight ahead. If the frame is good and tight (most aren't) and you angle the blade it could cause the blade not to be level.
Anyway, as I said, it works. I now have a cub 54 blade so I no longer use the lo-boy blade on a standard cub. I will save it for use with the lo-boy.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Thanks. I'll take a look at it.
P.S. After reading the Big Dog poem I've put an alarm system in the garage and have posted a watch around the perimeter of my property. Sounds like you're a legend :D .
