That old 100 Manure Spreader, ready for more and more

Postby ericlk » Sun Mar 22, 2020 6:03 pm

I've got what I think is 100 spreader that the wheel locked up on and bent my lower beater shaft. I had an Amish guy fix my web chain and he ended up putting a whole new web in it. It was kinda costly to put a whole new web in it if the beater shaft is bent and wont keep the chain on. Does anyone know where I could get a whole new shaft or a whole new beater assembly? I was going to just get rid of it but since I have $400 bucks into it already I might as well try and fix the whole thing. I found parts for a 110 but I didn't know how close those were to a 100 as far as parts.

I think the 100 was replaced by the 10. Are you sure the parts are for a 110? I doubt that you'll find new parts. I'd suggest placing a "wanted" in the Vine subforum and see if someone has a parts 100 that you can get what you need from. After your second post, you can access manuals (quick links upper left, then PDF manuals). There is a 100 manual there that has parts in the back. If you can find a parts manual for the 10 (or 110), you could see if the part #'s are the same. And welcome to the Forum.

I'm not familiar with the 100, could you get a piece of cold rolled to make a new shaft? John

Or look for a used 100 spreader as a parts source.

You might want to post a photo of the spreader and a photo of the specific bar just to make sure of the parts before you spend money on something that won't fit.
