Plow blade angle

Postby allenlook » Fri Dec 23, 2005 10:24 am

Has anyone rigged up something that allows the 54A blade to be tilted left to right from the driver's seat?

The hydraulics are already being used to raise and lower the blade so I guess that's out, but a lever or a cable or even a couple chains would suffice for my needs...

Allen,

Check out "Sediment Bowl Shutoff" Column, The picture that "tnestell" posted shows a hydraulic cylinder mounted on the blade. I've seen others too...

Rick (billyandmillie) installed a cylinder on his plow for power angle. As always he did a really good job! 8) He has some pictures of it too.

Oh and Johnny, if you are looking for valves try ebay. I saw that there were lots of them on there for pretty good deals, as always with ebay though, make sure you are getting some kind of brand.

Check out this string of posts. We had a big discussion about how to angle a grader blade not to long ago. There is links to photos and where to buy hydraulic parts and how to set up extra cylinders. We should put something to gather for the "how to" section.

Thanks, now that you posted that, I remember watching it very closely...

I think that it would be a very very good idea to put together a "How To..." for this

Thanks again, Johnny

Also, what is the maximum psi of the hydro system on a cub?

Thanks, Johnny
