Can't push this much!!

Postby kinelbor » Mon Dec 26, 2005 11:10 am

Woke up this morning with a foot of snow with 2 foot drifts. I tried to push it with the Cub. Just doesnt have the traction, or enough power. Kinda bummed out. Plus we have another 14 on the way tonight. The weather said we can expect up to 30 inches by then end of the storm. 8)

raise the blade up and push some out of the way. Then drop the blade and clean it out. once you have a path started then you can push half a blade each time. For traction get somebody to stand on the drawbar for the first cut.
Good luck

We're getting all rain here, although my sis-in-law and family are up your way. They expect to try to head back tomorrow, and I'm thinking they'll need some luck.

My Cub did well with about ten inches of the stuff, above that and I the first pass was a chore (tire chains are a big help). After that, as was previously mentioned, you can take a bit at a time--although you can't push it out of the way to make way for the next storm.

Good luck!

I did take passes with the blade up, still snow is deeper than the top of the blade, but then I cant back out. This storm is for the blower. Sometime this week I will probably pull out the Massy Harris with the back blade and push the banks back for the next storm.

Is there a way to put the picture in this text box?

You Bet!!!

first you have to put it up on an image host, like the Cubfest Photo Host, or photobucket etc

then if you click on the picture, and scroll to properties, then click, then it will say something like "address/URL" highlight that, then copy and paste it inbetween the image tags, like this Image I put a space, you DON"T!! and it looks like this without the spaces Image

Just watched the local news, said to expect 2-3 feet now. We have about 18 inches out there plus drifting! This one is gonna take a while to recover from 8)
