weekend auction goodies and re introduction

Postby Olred » Wed May 12, 2021 3:05 pm

I have been away from this forum for a long while. I tend to lurk the vine and look at what everyone is working on from time to time. I am finishing up a 3 year long home renovation of a 1916 farm house. once we close I am looking forward to getting back into cubs and using them around the property .I know everyone here loves pictures(as do I) so here is what picked up this weekend from an online auction. f194, f38 disk, woods 42cf, mott flail mower(for a loboy which i dont own one) and odds and ends of a 54 blade set up. I bought my fast hitch for my 66 back in 2017 from boss hog and have only had a landscape rake to play with. The only wish list fast hitch goodies i have left are the platform carrier and a 184 planter

Thank you capecodcubs, you are correct I’m stoked and can’t wait to try them out. All of these implements I thought I would never be able to justify the cost/afford but the planets aligned. I had prepared for the worst on the front shaft and had done my research, turns out it was on the deck of the mower when I went to pick it up(was laying on the opposite side from where the photo was taken) all of these will be used to plant a garden and keep the fields trimmed. I have a Ford 3000 but it is not as relaxing as working a cub. Attached a photo from boss hogs 2012 cub fest some of y’all might recognize me, I’m pretty sure dale helped me swap that front bolster before the pull

Fast hitch stuff is hard to find and expensive for sure. The mower was a score with the PTO shaft. Dale looked for years for one for hers.

Would be nice to have another VA Cubfest at Boss Hogs. We went once it was a blast and went back to VA the next year just for fun.

Picked up a rake from Brad Homstead, some Lilliston cultivators and Boss gave us a puppy and some barrel holder brackets for taking the puppy. lol

Dales posts and information is what drove me to bid and gave me the confidence that I could build my own shaft. I’m pretty sure the last time I was at boss’s with my wife we almost left with a puppy as well

On the morning of the day we were heading back, Sarah wanted to go and get the puppy, I caved in and texted David at 4:00 AM and 2 minutes later he says come on by. I suggested around 8:00 instead.
