Rick,

It looks great! It looks like the cab is centered, so there should be plenty of room on the left side for the heater. :D Now the question... how are you planning to make the C-60 work hard enough to make enough extra heat?

If worse comes to worse John, you've got the circus tent..... :D

Looks real good Rick! I bet you could install a AC compressor to run off the PTO.....

There's an idea, George....Run it up the left side, being careful to pass it over the manifold. A scoop behind the radiator, a thin shroud over the manifold, and a flexible rubber duct. (rubber duct.... )

Sewing thread that is. Rick, the thread canvas sewers use from a marine stand point can be UV-46, UV-69, or UV-92. The UV stands for Ultra- Violet inhibited. The 46 has a thinner thread, and the 69 thincker, and so on with the 92. They are a polyester bond thread that is very good to use. I'd suggest the UV-69 over the others. The 46 may not be strong enough, and the 92 is hard to use in most sewing machines. I've seen the UV-69 last years in hard sailing conditions.

Good Luck with the project. If you need any advise on the fabric, I'd suggest calling Sailrite - 1-800-348-2769. Real good folks to work with.

Salute!!!

Here's a few more pics of the cab progress. I made a completely adjustable front grille cover. The side panels are in place and nearly finished. I'm almost ready to start sewing the cab panels. A few more finishing touches on the framework, like the wiper motor bracket. I found out today that the 12 volt srobe light will work off 6 volts. It's just not as bright and blinks a little slower, but still works just fine. I'll make a decision after things are all done. Thanks, Rick

I thought the comments about having heat were a joke. Looks like it'll actually happen! Looks great, Rick--you're definitely getting the hang of that sewing machine.

Nice job with the radiator cover. That should really help with cold weather running and the carbon problems folks have with winter operations.
