The top photo looks right to me, the bottom is too "tan" (??). Are those pictures of the same grill? If so, it may be the camera, lighting, angle, etc.

Hi,
I'm not sure, it may be the white in the listing below from TM Tractor. It is Case IH paint, it says.
This is what they currently make.
If it isn't this one, someone will probably say.

http://www.tmtractor.com/new/sp/935fp.htm

They also have red, yellow, and silver.

If there is a Case IH dealer there you can go to, or call on the phone, you can probably buy it there, if you want this color. :)

The #935 CIH white is available via TM Tractor, per Glen's link, or other places. Here's a couple threads in the forum on the subject:
http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=84247
http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=107012&p=848865&hilit=935+white+codes#p848865

Not sure what shade of white was used for a '57, but it probably wasn't #935. That didn't come out 'til later.

You might use the Search feature on the Forum, and/or the web, to look up "IH Paint Chart", "IH White Paint 902" or other criteria to narrow down your options. After all your looking and discovery, it's going to come down to this (and you'll hate this answer), it's your choice what shade to paint it. Just so long as you like it. There will always be a few critics of what you decide, but ultimately, as long as it pleases you, that's all that matters.

Let us know what you discover...

Paul,
As you can see by the paint chart that David Grapes posted in Stanton's second link, there is not much difference between 901, 902 and 935. From what I can determine, 901 was used prior to 1967, 902 was used between 1967 and 1970 and 935 was used after 1970. Therefore, 901 would be the correct original color in 1957. They all tend to fade to about the same shade of white after several years. The only modern cross-reference that I can find for 901 is Nason (DuPont) Ful-Cryl II Enamel : #4976 ID A (1969 Ford New Lime). Hope this helps.

This is the paint cross-reference chart that I have. I'm not sure of the source. If it can be converted to something compatible with the PDF Manuals section, it could go under Reference Info.

IH 901 White is a "white" shaded white paint. IH 902 White has a slight green tint (like Oliver Clover white paint) to it. IH 935 White is more of a cream white color.

IH 901 and IH 902 both need to be mixed up by a paint supplier. Only IH 935 is readily available to buy.

Yes, more than likely. I would try to match, as close as possible, the color of the background white on the hood behind the emblems.

The 2 images from TM are taken in 2 very different settings affecting the color balance. One is in the shade outdoors & the second is indoor studio light. They could easily be the same grill, pictured in different conditions.

Not necessarily. But, the chart you posted crosses to an IH paint beginning in 1985. That doesn't mean that same color wasn't used earlier under a different name. Try using the DuPont/Nason number I posted above and see if you get the same result.
