I have a carburetor that has a number of 25123? R92, (can't make out the number after the 3). My parts manual does not list the R92 but the R91 & R94. I bought this from a person that says it came off a cub, did it?
I want to put a kit in it but am not sure.

Hey Snakeoil
I checked the parts manuals on Rudi's server and this is what I found:
http://www.cleancomputes.com/Cub/Cub%20Parts%20Manuals/TC-37A%20Parts%20Calalog/Page%2019.jpg
The popular kit on this board is the kit from Case/IH. It can still be purchased from your local dealer or from http://www.cngco.com.
The part # for the kit is 354454R92.

Yours would be an early carburetor, and the missing number would be a "4". I haven't found any difference between the early and late carburetors except for the bleed, main metering jet size, and discharge nozzle. I have found 3 different discharge nozzles, so the mystery deepens. The same kit would work on either one, so you are good to go unless you need to replace any of the parts I mentioned.
Pay particular attention to the surfaces the 3 sealing washers are supposed to seal against... corroded washer seats cause a LOT of leaking problems that are wrongly blamed on float needles. Use a sealer on the washers such as black Permatex to be sure.

One more caution... when you take the two halves of the carburetor apart be sure to pull them apart squarely. The idle tube in the upper half fits in a small bore in the bottom half and can be easily broken.
