I know a source for a part is better than not available but the international shipping is going to make anything from those guys SUPER expensive! I sell things on eBay, mostly smaller things and will shop internationally if the seller wants. I have been amazed at what some things cost to send to Europe, even sending to Canada is really expensive. But available at any price is better than no part at all if you have the funds .

Hi,
Interesting video of the engine turning over.

If the Cub has white paint on most of it, that is under the red paint, no other paint under the white, it is probably a 1950 Cub Demonstrator. I see in your info it says you have a 1948 and 1950 Cub.

IH made the Demonstrator Cubs during 1950. Not all the 1950 Cubs were white.
There were other models of IH tractors that were white in 1950.

Below is a pic of a Cub, parts of it are red. :)

Is that fuel tank rused all the way through? That's the way it looks in the pic unless and optical illusion?

Its rare down there I think that's the cool factor. Its not like around here were there hundreds of thousands of them and one laying around everywhere and parted out everywhere.

Hi. Sir Thank you for your refletion. In Brazil almost doesnt´t exist and are very very rare tractor. Here has many big farms and a lot of heavy tractors.

Stephen, you are a brave man to get this Cub running. Good up to this point. Keep going.

Welcome to the Forum!

Take some time and read through a few threads to acquaint yourself with the Forum:

Now that you’ve logged your 2nd post on the Forum, you'll have access to the all the PDF Manuals on this site. There’s a few ways to do that:
  • From a desktop or laptop, go to "Quick Links" in the upper left corner of your screen. Hit that and a pull-down appears where you'll find "PDF Manuals".
  • You can also go to “Cub Info” in the upper toolbar, then hit “Rudi’s Manuals”. From there, you can access a variety of information.
  • If you're using a phone, go to the "Links Directory" (second category down the main page). Once in "Links Directory" , scroll down to the second section "Tractor Parts & Manuals" and you'll find them there.

You'll be able to download an Owner's Manual (very strongly recommended) and any service manuals that interest you. Implement Manuals are also available.

Might also enjoy reading through this thread: What to do with a Cub you just brought home

There are a lot of good threads dealing with Cub repair and maintenance in the How To Forum. Located here: http://farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=11

We’d encourage you to take the Safety Test located in the Safety Forum: http://farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=68084

I saw the serial number plate, located on the front, right side of your tractor where the steering rod connects to the front end. That number may be entered in the "What Year is My Cub?" category located here: http://farmallcub.com/phpBB2/app.php/page/cub-information

There are also casting dates on your cast iron pieces that you may cross reference here: http://www.tmtractor.com/id/id_001.htm

Thanks for sharing videos and pictures with us. We like them.

Remember:
  • Pictures are limited to 500 KB file size. Use an image reducer app or program to downsize pics.
  • When you have a specific question, start a new thread in the appropriate sub-forum.
  • Before posting, use the Preview button before hitting Submit--it'll show you exactly what your post will look like, including pictures.
  • When adding your comments to a thread, be sure to look at the date of the last poster. If it’s more than a 6 months old, the posters are probably not going to see it. Consider starting a new thread.

Glad you joined us.

I watched the video of the engine cranking. I was wondering how you did it? I see no cable to starter motor.
Noticed some of the valves not moving also.

https://www.instagram.com/tv/CUQkQ34Fgc ... =copy_link

I watched again and noticed you touched wire to starter at around 0:53 in the video.

Need to free up the intake and exhaust valves on cylinders #2 and #4, and the exhaust valve on #1.
