What size drill bit should I use to drill out the pins that are broken off.
I don't want to drill them to big.
I have looked but I can't find what is the right size of bit to use.
I am guessing around 1/8 inch but I'm not sure.

I've used "screw nails" before (as McMaster-Carr labels them--commonly called rivets). Here's a link: https://www.mcmaster.com/rivets/
Would think a full-line supplier in Australia would have something similar. Paying for shipping from the USA is expensive (as you know).

Re: Broken off serial number pins
I just found these here at work 3.2mm dia x about 9mm long (maybe too long)
I don't mind paying for the shipping as long as it turns up
I had 1 parcel sent July 14 and another Sept 8 and they haven't turned up yet
The first parcel has dropped off the radar and the second has only got as far as Chicago in 6 weeks....

I hope your mail service is better than ours. Wouldn’t take much.

Re: Broken off serial number pins
Cut those off and make them work. That would be a lot faster.

Re: Broken off serial number pins
That would be great but he is in Australia and postage there would be a lot more than 4 little pins would cost.

I just found some on ebay Australia - $10 for 4. I suspect they are steiner.
