Rudi,

I have been "where you are", in recent years.

Just when you think it cannot get any worse, it somehow manages to.

I too used to have a fantastic sense of humour, and then I lost it for a time. During that time, people who said things to me like "God only makes your burden as heavy as you can carry", were asking for a violent confrontation.

In more recent times, I have come to realize that suffering is the way of the world, and is common to all mankind in different ways. It is not meant to be a test. We set ourselves at odds with our fellow man, and God, if we truly believe that.

God didn't test the faith of Job, when He proved His argument with Lucifer. He already knew the outcome beforehand. He was merely proving a point. Had He done such to any other man, He would have lost the bet.

Make of each day the best that you can, and be sure to remark upon the good ones, for if you do not, all that you will remember are the bad ones.

And, should you have the misfortune of hitting the very bottom of the barrell, it is true that the only way to go is "up". :D

May God grant you enlightenment and understanding, that your sorrows be lifted.

Tom

Guys:

Thanks again. I keep saying this and I never get tired it saying it either... y'all are the best there are and I am priviledged to know you all and to be able to call you friend..

Em and I appreciate all the good wishes and prayers, and you all are always in our prayers as well.

And I do believe that the Lord will never give me more than I can handle... and that whatever load he gives me, he gives me for a reason. Sometimes you gotta wonder though....

But, Em and I smile, hug each other and keep on truckin... life is GOOD :!: :D

And, should you have the misfortune of hitting the very bottom of the barrell, it is true that the only way to go is "up".

That is so true, and you are a lot stronger person afterward. A hard way to get strength to get thru the ups and downs of life, but as someone said, that is life.

My wishes also go out for an end to(or at least a slackening of) your recent troubles.

It's easy to say from far away like I am, but let us know if there's any way we can help.
