DONT GET ME wrong, i do enjoy ebay, bought and sold stuff off of there, and will continue to do so. Just seems like lately prices for cubs have been a little steep is all. Course when i sell on ebay i want it to go much higher, never does.

Course my life consists of driving the same back road to my office, 14 miles, to work, 4 days a week, and the rest of the time, working around the house, barn, wood shop, kids, HONEY DO lists or tractors. (Not necssarily in that order).

Occassionally i'll pick up a for sale paper, but even those that have cubs, have em starting at 2000 or higher. Guy down the road, with a rattle can paint job on his cub wants 2000 for his cub with cultivators on it. I laughed and kept on walking. Kinda pissed him off.

Guess i'm gonna have to load up the truck, hook up the trailer, and head southeast, and take back roads this summer, and go on a "iron safarhi" with the kids during their summer vacation.

Hey Guys...eBay for the SELLER represents MORE POTENTIAL LOOKERS & BUYERS than you'd ever get from advertising in ANY NEWSPAPER...ANYWHERE...PERIOD!

For the BUYER...eBay offers more choices of the SAME ITEM, or CATEGORY OF ITEMS than you'd find LOOKING in ANY NEWSPAPER, or MAGAZINE...ANYWHERE...PERIOD!!

NOW...If THAT isn't LEVELING THE SELLING & BUYING PLAYING FIELD...I'LL SPREAD SOME OF MY TENNESSEE SUN-DRIED POSSUM on MY STRAW COWBOY HAT...AND EAT IT!

Look at it this way. The stuff you had before Ebay came around is worth a hell of a lot more than it was before. :-) Or even those deals you find locally are now even better deals.

Awhile back I bought a 1955 Cub highcrop for $1500.

I bought them both at the "Buy It Now" price.

Mike, I thought that you were done with buying cubs?????

I have to agree with some of the prices for items on Ebay.. Heck I have a NOS Cub tach that I will eventually put on ebay, just because I wouldn't want to ask the price that it will bring on ebay..

No, you will not put the tach on ebay. You will sell it to your good friend for a loss. We know you need the writeoff.
Do you see the nice Highwheeler on ebay?

I'm not sure about the prices on ebay. Some seem high, some reasonable. I am sure that I couldn't find as many cubs and cub parts in a week looking within a 100 mile radius around here as I can see in an hour on ebay.
Also, If Lee has a cub part in Ill. I can afford to pay a little more for it and the shipping instead of paying for the gas to scout out that part 50 miles away.
The key is to decide what you're willing pay and then don't get caught up in the heat of the auction competition...advice I've occassionally not followed  .
Take care,

What's the worry about eBay prices? It's only an auction.

Video Doc,
You are to late. The trick with the buy it now is to "buy it now" and then everyone else misses out on the great deal.
