eBay - AS IS disclaimer

Postby allenlook » Tue Feb 07, 2006 7:36 pm

Now, which part of the following would you believe...

This is a 1957 Farmall Model 130 Tractor Serial# 3409. I am selling this for my neighbor, so I am not very kowledgeable on specifics. <snip> I restore tractors myself and believe this would be a great restoration project. <snip>

Would you believe the part where he doesn't know anything about the tractor, or would you believe the part about him being a tractor buff who feels it is a good candidate for restoration?

I believe that the seller must be a politician......

Its just a hard one to say I sure would not want to buy site un seen on this one I guess.

It never ceases to AMAZE me...THE LARGE NUMBER OF "NEIGHBORS" who have got TRACTORS FOR SALE...BUT NO COMPUTERS TO SELL THEM ON !!! The OTHER fact that just BLOWS ME AWAY IS...THE MANY COMPUTER OWNERS WHO LIST TRACTORS "FOR SALE BY THEIR NEIGHBORS"...BUT ALWAYS KNOW "NOTHING ABOUT THE TRACTORS" THEMSELVES  THOSE SAME "UNKNOWLEDGEABLE-ABOUT-THE-TRACTOR" COMPUTER OWNERS ALMOST ALWAYS SAY: "This Tractor Would Make A GREAT Restoration Project"

I don't know...

The tagline "I don't know much about these..." on eBay always means - "This is broken but I don't want to admit it, and I don't want you coming back at me when you find out..."

"Ran when parked" is my favorite. I assume it doesn't run now because it's still parked.

Ran when parked

"Ran when parked"...

Hmmm, is the alternative "We don't recall when it quit, but we sure are glad Grampa doesn't make us push him around on it anymore - and we just abandoned it where it sits when we put him in the home?"
