I have everything I need to put the transmission back together, but before I start is there anything I need to do to the bearings, seals or gaskets ???
I have all the bearings and seals ready to go. I noticed the rear countershaft bearing and race have a light coating of grease.
The manual says to use Hy Tran, since I have it next to the bench I will use it for the o-rings and bearings. Lips on the seals too seems to be a good idea, but I think I will wait until the shafts are going in so they don't get contaminated.
Any words of wisdom???

They kinda put it too far along in the service manual, but the reverse idler gear bushing is supposed to be 'reamed' to between .612 - .613. I noticed a little bit of slop and it seems to be about .610.
It may be a little noisy, but I think I am going to go with it.
Any tips on the PTO bushing?? Can't seem to figure a way to get the old one out except possibly with a tap??

BW - a tap is probably the easiest way to remove the bushing.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

I hope you have a metric tap. An imperial tap won't work. Either too small to get a grip, or too big for the housing (shaft).
