Andy would be mortified with shame if I put something like that on him. I doubt if he would leave the barn.

The write-up on this Cub states that this tractor is a "real eye-catcher". :?: :?:

I'm sorry, but I'd avoid this guy  like the plague.

What a way to humiliate a Cub :!:   :? :(

I wouldn't even do that to a Craftsman.....

The time and money spent on those mods, he probably could have bought the real parts cheaper.

On the other hand, y'all are right, this guy was a tinkerer and not bad at it either...

Hate to see his car    :?

looks rto me like a good idea if you have to mow under low limbs.

I made a short muffler- but not like that one- for a 140 Farmall so that it would clear under a 7' high door. Louder than stock! Anyone remember when we used to make "gutted" mufflers from the driveshaft housing on the torque tube drivelines? Ford up through 1948 and Chevy up through 1954 used the torque tubes. Those homemade mufflers lasted forever! A straight-8 Buick sounded cool with one of them.
I agree about the probability of the Cub being used for mowing under low trees. The Cub muffler looked to be welded with a torch, perhaps part of it was silver solder.
Luck favors those who are prepared
