Finally have some RED parts!

Postby MelonKing » Sat Apr 08, 2006 6:02 pm

Hello all, I finally have some parts painted red. Mostly the cast stuff, because this being my first attempt at painting I wanted to start with the easier paint holding surfaces. I am now also a big fan of Nason urethane paint, this stuff was great to work with. Pictures are in my album on the photo server. http://photos.cubfest.com/index.php?cat=10083 I'll post more info as we move alomg...Dewight

They are some large mellons. You do good with the paint too.

Nice paint work! How did you strip the hood/fuel tank?? That is getting closer for me.

I like the parts line up too.... I was too chicken to buy em all at once and didn't know I was going to replace so many bearings till I got into it.

Keep up the good work!

The entire cub was stripped using drills and wire wheels. Took everything down to bare metal. I did have all the wheels and weights sand blasted, cost me $60 from a guy right down the road. If I would of know about him sooner, I probably would of had more parts blasted. Almost half way on the final painting now... Dewight
