I just picked up L59 deck. This was on a 140. Any idea what it would take to mount on Cub? It is missing 1 spindle assembly any guesses on what that may cost? thanks

It's a pretty safe bet that you will need to replace all the mounting brackets to put the deck on your cub. Spindle assemblies are probably at least $100 - probably higher.

Aren't the blades different, too. The 140 mower spins the other direction, I think.

Because of the opposite rotation, the spindle threads are probably opposite as well.

Yes as Goerge says the threads on the spindles is different direction
You may be able to only replace the spindle shaft.

I do have a complete set of spindles for a woods 59

Could it be that is what the the L signifies( the serial plate says L59A)that it turns to the left. This was given to me I just had to pick up. Was In a shed for years. Tractor is long gone but did find the manual for the 140. The deck appears to be complete found manual for that too. If not raining this weekend will power wash. I do not need deck as I have 2 4 footers. Thought might make a spare. Sounds like to much trouble to convert for Cub. Might be easier to find a 140 but that will be tough in Jersey.

It would be nice if Rudi had that manual to go with the others.

The manual for the 59 LB mower is on Rudi's site.
