All of Rick's steps are built "Heavy Duty"! I have one of his conventional Cub-Steps on my "Carol Elizabeth Cub" and it has faithfully supported my 330 pounds each and EVERYTIME...without fault or fail! RICK'S CUB STEPS ARE THE VERY BEST YOU'LL FIND AT ANY PRICE...ANYWHERE...PERIOD!

I also have one of Rick's Cub Steps. Fine workmanship, strong, and very well designed. The only thing I can think of to improve it would be to add (at owner's discretion and expense) some non-skid rubber or something of that sort, for those times when you've stepped in something and gotten the bottom of your wore out shoe soles wet. That is just a matter of preference. And that depends on how many mud puddles one may have, the number of outside dogs you have, live and kicking possums, etc.

As one of the other members most eloquently put it, "Some times you step in it, and then some times you don't."

Here's mine on my 48. Teh stp, as well as the floor pan are painted with Rustoleum nonslip paint, thought while plowing the wheel has thrown enoguh dirt on the step its's hars to tell.
