New Cub found
I went out to get a shipping price for Rudi and wasn't really looking for another Cub but for something with a 3 point for using a box grader with. Well anyways I found a 185 lowboy with a factory looking rear 3 point hitch with a woods 59 deck on it. The hitch has a single cylinder (about a 2 inch shaft) to the right side and really looks beefy. My question is two parts first is did IH make a factory 3 point and second will it handle a box grader to grade down my yard after back filling the basement when I get this house started. I know my 48 Cub would have the power to pull something fairly light as long as it wasn't deep I just didn't want to buy something I was really going to be disapointed with. On the otherhand its in pretty good shape with a few buggers on the fibreglass grill, nice tires ofcourse they are turf type for 2 grand or best offer. I looked around the photos and didn't see anything like this rear hitch.

Looks just like that one only yellow!! The cub is in real good shape except for that grill. I mean it doesn't need painting even. A good cleaning is about it and it would look real nice. I didn't see any leaks or drips on the deck or any extra juice anywhere. I may just jump on the Harley and go get a picture its not far from my shop. I just didn't want to buy something with out talking or reading comments from the guys who know.

make sure you read buying a tractor tips, in rudi's area i believe. i have had a couple 154's and that 184, no 185's but the core is the same. The clutch is one of the main thing to be looking at. Test it cold. As some will work better warm. (I ferget what that thing is). Also test the PTO engage, that should be electric. Look for cast cracks around raditor mounting, behind front cowling (grille) One 154 i sold for parts basically the whole drive line was shot, lost my)*(^(*&*&*&)* on that one!
