Hot Rod Cub

Postby Kodiak » Thu Jun 08, 2006 9:18 pm

Finally got the axle under my 56 Loboy tonight. Now all I need is to rebuild the final drives and I'll be in pretty good shape.
Image

It gives it a Hot Rod stance with a Loboy front axle and standard finals. Wonder if it would effect the fluids in the crankcase, finals, and transmission and the hydralic unit to run it like this????
I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

May only be a problem if you have a bad seal in the tranny. I know mine will lose fluid if I stay on an incline for too long.

Should give it more power and conserve fuel, since it's always running down hill.

Drop in a v-6 and I think you have something there. Mow lawns in half the time and be able to make it to the ice cream shop before it closes.

Scott

P.S. Don't forget to paint flames on it!

My 56 has a little lean to it but it's because I put 9.5 tires on the rear.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Ron,

Yeah, that has a nice "race" look to it. Brings back some high school memories. If your car didn't have a little "rake" to it you just didn't fit

Funny you guys finally saw that....I do have a JD mower and the wife got me that a few years back. It almost looks like I placed the tractor there on purpose but I swear I didn't!
