Adjusting Rear Wheel Width

Postby Hengy » Mon Jul 31, 2006 2:00 pm

Hey there all!

I was perusing the picture in a previous post below

Image

How does one adjust the wheel width to be so wide with the weights on the INSIDE of the wheel :?: Are there different positions on the axle that the wheel center can bolt to, or is it a matter of only switching the "dish direction" on the center?

I have seen some pics where the wheels look like they are almost going to rub the fenders on the back...

Just wondering!

Thanks for looking!

Mike - there is only one position for the wheel center to bolt to the axle but the center can be dished in or out and the rim can then be attached in various configurations.

Mike,

If the wheels were swapped left to right, they would be at the narrowest setting... unless they rubbed the fenders. There are 3 intermediate settings.
