I purchased some headlight lens from him a year or two ago. He's is a member here, (not active no longer I don' think) but if memory serves me he was selling off his stock, due to health reasons.

He's seems like a really nice gentleman, and he sold me the lens well worth the money. I was thinking his user Id here was just Albie and on ebay it was Albie (something)

I hope Albie is holding his own on whatever his health factors were.

AND If Mr. Albie is still reading the forum here, jump on in and let us know how you are a doing.

The accordion is a strong clue. :D

For those who don't know... Albie started the idea of Cub get-togethers with the two Cub workshops he hosted. His efforts led to the many CubFests we now enjoy.

He's also responsible for bringing Bigdog, Lurker Carl, and me together for the first time. 8)

Edit... and also Brian Piersol who coined the term CubFest. :D

Oops... another edit... and Clark (Tractorman) Thompson. :D

OK, guys..

Now it is time for the official Historical Database to be created. We need some recollections of how all this cubfest stuff got started, names, dates places and reasons.

I think this would be interesting to know..

George, with your talents, could you please grab all this stuff from the cranial filing cabinet and put to keyboard PLEASE :!:  :!: This would be SOOOO interesting.

Thanks

Rudi,

Here's a picture of the very first Cub Workshop attendees at Albie's place in 2001 (I think). Some of the names may be familiar...

One, is listed as Clark Nolastname since I didn't know Clark (Tractorman)
Thompson's last name. Others in the picture that I recall visiting this forum from time to time: Larry Hahn, John Partridge, Albie Badarocco (host), Chris Embry (S.H.A.F.T.). Dave Antes, LOMBARD, Bruce Christian, and yours truly.

I have no picture from the second Cub Workshop where I first met Lurker Carl and Bigdog. :(

George:

Excellent... Can I snag the pics?

Can you do up a little writeup?

Carl, can you and BigDog add pics and some notes for CubFest 2002?

This is something that I really would like to add to the server. Which means I guess we need to do up something for 2004 as well as 2005.. A nice historical record would be useful, especially for our new members..

I bought a 1955 cub from albie named "scott", with fast hitch, snow plow, single bottom plow, disk and spring harrow, think it was 2003. At that time he lived some distance north of Pittsburgh, now , from one of his auctions, it appears he has moved to Pittsburgh. Hope he's doing well.

Unfortunately, there wasn't a group shot at the 2nd Cub Workshop. Most of my pictures from that workshop are on PowerPoint show, it's lurking around on one of the old hard drives, I'll have to find it. Just about everyone attending managed to get some body part in the pictures.
