Steering on the Cub
Are the steering knuckle arms interchangeable ? or is there a left - right for the older ones that have a hole in the spindle for the locking screw.
1958 Farmall Cub , 1948 Farmall Super A , 1950 Farmall Cub demonstrator (restoring), 1968 Wheel Horse lawn mower.

Yes, they were made left and right. For tractors serial number 138484 and below, the forging is the same for both sides with two bosses for the locking screw. The R and L are created by drilling just one of the bosses. In a pinch, the other boss could be drilled and threaded to create an ambidextrous steering arm.
