Woods Mower

Postby Bob Underwood » Mon Jan 01, 2007 7:13 am

Starting to give some attention to the mower. Would the white paint on the C&G site be close to correct color, this appears to be a dirty white? The casters may have a problem from the top of the mount to the top of stem is 1 1/4 of free travel is this right ? The washer is there I just measured to he mount.

Thanks
Bob

Most of the Woods mowers I have seen are Woods Orange with very little white on them. Which Woods mower do you have :?:

My L-306-F is white and the RM-306 before it was also white with orange bits bolted to it. It's a nice color combination, but then they weren't on red tractors.

This one the deck is orange and the mounting brackets and shields are almost ivory doesn't appear that it has been painted, all decals are in place. The 2 colors at C&G are white and burnt orange. I believe the the mower to be around 1980.
Thanks

Hi Bob. If you go to Ralph's sitehttp://www.ralphscubs.com/, you'll see a couple he re-painted. They're on his tractors along the left side of his webpage. Ralph will know what color the white is called.

If anyone finds out the correct colours for the Woods Mowers.. and the right codes, I would appreciate a heads up on em for the Paint Charts.. Will bring up a new chart for OEM Implements and such.

The guards, all the lift/attaching hardware and the gauge wheel brackets were an 'off' white on mine. Color looks pretty close to the IH white used for C-2's and the white on my yeller Cub. I will probably use the same color on the Woods I have because the IH rattle can paint is nice stuff.
