I have talked to my wife on this idea. At this time its in the planning stage. I know all of us guys and one young lady get together to do different projects.. Our wifes (girl friends) and boy friend don't know each other. If I plan a get together how do you folks think the wives would like to get togehter ( maybe go shopping ) to meet each other & have some fun. We can do our stuff in the garage & the betterhalvies could spend the money I don't have. This would be last of March or first of April weather permitting. Just a idea. I look like everyone had a great time at George's.

Oh Yes!!!!
Jeff, those are what are sometimes called 'CubFest' .... and it's a great idea! They are great fun.
I am too far away from Indiana to go, but even if only a few folks show up it is worthwhile. Cecil's went from a few folks the first year, to 'big time' last fall. Both were excellent.
You can do it!

Jeff:
You can still call them CubFest or any variation you feel comfy with. A good way to figure out what to call it, is to figure out what is real special about your area or just something special to you.
I called it CubFest Northeast 2004, mostly cause the only one previously was just CubFest in Ohio. Not wanting to horn in on that activity, we needed something different. Since 2004, a number of regional festivities have occured and looks like many will be repeat performances..
Let's See:
Remember, collecting, playing with, and enjoying Cubs is not a Male Dominated hobby. We have a number of female members. Also.. many of our Better Halves enjoy the CubFests as much as we do... and would probably be upset if we have to start this gender specific garbolla...
Not to be Politically In-Correct... or stir up a Hornet's Nest but it is a family gathering for our family of Cub-a-holics and our better halves.... that simple... it is just our Family

Dont forget about DOCFEST is coming up in early April.... And the Mall in Terre Haute is the first right off the interstate, and my place is only 8 miles from the interstate, so its easy to get there.

Mein Frau is a quilter - are any of the other ladies?
That would be a good magnet, at least for her/us.
Jeff, are you aware of the cub fest coming at Tipton later in the summer?
Tipton and McCordsville are both in range for me as long as the body remains willing. I hauled seed corn in and out of there back in the Migro Hybrids days.

One of the few advantages of growing older is that I finally realized that I haven't made ALL the stupid mistakes! Yet!
