Seems to me that in the spirit of this thread, your creative accountant could somehow massage this into a charitable deduction. Test him.

It's been stated many times that it is easier to beg (ask?) for forgiveness than beg (ask?) for permission.[/quote]

I actually just said to a friend yesterday after I booked a flight/hotel to Miami's South Beach for the February boat show:
Come on, it's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to gain permission.
It's my favorite saying!

I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN THAT CUB IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PICK IT UP FOR YOURSELF.
WOULD IT HAPPIN TO BE A 58?
WERE IS IT LOCATED SURE WOULD MAKE ME :D

I THINK $1200.00 IS A FAIR PRICE IF I WERE THERE IT WOULD BE ON MY TRAILER AS FAST AS I COULD GET BACK WITH IT.

YOU WILL BE VERY  IF YOU PASS IT UP.

Ok, I just got off the phone with him again. I said I'll be down tomorrow a.m. & I have to check if the engine, drivetrain & steering is free. He said "what ever it takes, we'll work it out". Sounds like he became a little more flexable. He is just the manager of the market. It's a franchise who bought out the old country market. I think that they think it's a liability after I happen to mention that it could be an enviromental liability because of leaks (it's not leaking oil though hehehe). I'll give you the update from the trailor tomorrow.
On a side note, I'm thinking about hosting a mini Cub fest. I have 2 acres of lawn, half an acre of field which could be plowed, mowed, bombed or set on fire plus a two bay, heated garage. As long as we don't desimate the lawn area, I think this would be a fun spot to do it. It's on a 3 mile private, wooded, scenic old road with several big old houses. This property was once owner by Guy Lombardo & our house was once his barn, turned into the music rehersal studio & then into my parents house. There are at least 30 cubs within a 50 mile radius. The only issue would be parking trailors/trucks and getting local hotels. There is a HoJo's & super 8's within 5 miles but outside of that, the delano & hyatt fetch up to $500+ per night.
