Kids and Cubs.....some pictures.

Postby Denis » Mon Feb 05, 2007 9:32 am

I have been working on a friend's Cub. Last night he brought his son around to see how I was getting on and to take it for a test ride. My daughter decided to fire my Cub up and join in.

Here are some pictures of them on the front lawn. Unfortunately it was starting to get dark so the light is not that good.

By the way it was around 80°F here yesterday evening when I took the pictures.

Denis - there are what appears to be small lights or reflectors on the tractor on the left. Can you enlighten us? And maybe some pictures of them at your convenience?

Bigdog they are reflectors mounted on little stalks. The pictures were taken when it was quite dark and the flash from the camera has made them light up.

Dennis:

Very very nice Cubs. Nice to know that these little tractors have a GLOBAL following :!:   I don't think IH ever actually realized just what they were producing way back in 1947.

Amazing, what a little tractor like the Cub can do.. not only do the chores, but stokes the imagination of kids both young and old :!:  :D 8) 8) way 8)

Its great to see the youngun's riding the Cubs. I don't want to offend anyone with what you might think is a lack of safety on my part, but I've let my 7-year old boy and 8-year old neice both drive the Cub. Of course, in 1st at low throttle, where they basically just steer, out in the open, while I walked along beside. They were both very excited to have driven a tractor!!
