Betsy's fixed

Postby Cecil » Sun Feb 18, 2007 8:27 pm

When I went to plow some snow with Betsy on Saturday morning before everyone arrived I noticed that gas was comming out of the gasket between the manifold and the carburator. That would explain why she didn't have as much power lately. Well when the guys and gal arrived we loaded up the platform carrier with the tranny and she wouldn't start. I just left her until today. I changed the carb for the one that Don McCombs rebuilt at Cubfest NE and cleaned out the sediment bowl and the shut off and she runs like she used to. Now if only I could remember to push the switch in so the battery wouldn't run down. :D

Good to hear you got to it. We were all convinced that is what it was. I had wondered if there was a little Ice in the carb too. I am going to have to red coat my lowboy to stop things like that too.
