Farmall Cub

I was lucky enough to find a demonstrator for sale. It is in rough shape but easily salvagable. Does anyone know what kind of premium there are on demonstatror cubs? Does it add 10%, 20% to the price?

Personal opinion - It only adds whatever value a buyer is willing to pay. I would rather pay extra value for good condition rather than the fact that it is a demo. For some folks, a demo cub is highly prized.

BigDog is right, as always :shock:

Don't get carried away in paying extra for it, just because it is a demo, especially if it is in rough condition. Depending on your area, will go to a lot on the value of the tractor. Upper east coast, the price will be higher, than here in the mid west. I have heard of demo's in rough shape going for as little as $800. :shock:

Considering all i got in the trade to get my demo, i actually paid less, but i aint telling no one. :wink:

But if you think its a good deal then it is. Welcome to the best site on the net for tractors...... Oh, by the way, here is what one looks like COMPLETLY redone, i just finished it. This one would command a large price to get it away from me....... John

Yes congrats. And Welcome. I'm also a newbie and from CT. I will have my Demo at the CT Cubfest this year. Well both of them if they fit ok in my trailer. But if you don't mind me asking did you find the Demo Locally. -Stick-

thats what i use to BLIND and CONFUSE the homing beacon, to keep me cubs safe and secure. Corse i got one of these protecting them when he gets close...... He's a sucker for dog's didnt you know.....

One thing that is often overlooked about demonstrators is that they were sold as used tractors, at a reduced price.... the original buyers often bought them for work at a better price than a new tractor. Just something to keep in mind and use to your advantage as a buyer.

Guess which one is a demo...

My guess will be the one on the left because== neither one is the 71, and it looks to me like the one on the left has the short eared dash('50 model), making the one on the right having the long eared dash('48 model)

Neither tractor should have a fast hitch, but the tractor on the left has the white hood decals, just like mine.
