I am going to paint "christines" back rims silver. Exactly what color silver should I use?

If you have an IH dealer nearby get IH silver from them. Or as Don said - Rustoleum silver is fine.

The chrome spray paint at Autozone, etc. is a close match too.

Guys:

Do any of you have the cans left, so we can get the Colour Codes off of em?? Seems there is only one entry in the Paint Chart for Silver, and I sure would like to get some more.

Larry and Terry? .... could you post the Colour Codes for the Aluminum that you used..

And the clear coat.

I did a quick search and there were references to Nason Ful Cryl and Dupont Centari, but no Colour Codes... they would be useful please and thank you  :!:  :D

Rustoleum silver yields this:

Painting front rims silver optional, and not "correct"

The Rustoleum is pretty wierd paint to use, keep an eye out for runs. I have two coats on two sets of rims. Both were sandblasted and primed with Rustoleum liquid primer (white).

Priming and sanding is everything for a good finish.

I like the color called "Silver Metallic". Metallic paint will run easily if you are spraying, so use light thin coats. For a slick finish and as a protector coat, sand with 400-600 paper, clean well, and spray on a coating of Minwax Exterior Spar Urethane, (Gloss). This clear sealer shields out UV and will make a finish almost as good as powder coating. Easy to hose too, and they will look good  8)

Don't forget the R & B Powder Coating option.

$25 each for the rear rim, sandblast, primer-rust inhibitor, color coat, & clear coat. Freight for two rims from CT to R & B via FedEx Ground $50 each way. $150 total for me.
Look at the B4 and After. All I did was box them up! :D
