it looks very professionally done and for someone who may just want to use it, it may be better than original.

Not much of a bidding war over it.

He fixed it just like we all did ours. We did it like we wanted to. Don't go looking at grills and decals and cast numbers on mine they are mostly all wrong and there is no serial number plate. But it is mostly 1948. 61 block, 58 grill. etc And lots of TM Tractor and even some Ebay and OEM. Has China parts on it I got right off my dealers shelf. Correct police build your own original if you can but I don't think its possible.

As Ralph alluded to in the first post, the term "fully restored" was used. This does raise the brows of the "correct police" I have found. However, I think the jist of the thread was, "truth in advertising". Had the seller used the term."fully referbished", or "re-worked", this thread would probably not had as many post. Price? Well, I assume it's like everything else, "it's what the market will bear", +/_ the "ebay" factor.

I agree with your logic HR... BUT, I have found in my long and continueing search for tractors MAYBE about one in ten tractors that claim "fully restored" really are. And that's a BIG MAYBE!

Infact, most "restored" tractor I have come across are not a nice as this one appears to be!

This post just made me laugh! Have you ever noticed how just about every tractor for sale on the roadside says just overhauled and your standing there looking at this thing that looks as if it's never been apart in 50yrs all filthy dirty greesy. It seems to alot of people overhauled is a new set of plugs and a cap. Bill

Amen! Not one in 10 know the meaning of making new again. And when they do it cannot be done with original parts. I'm working on a 1955 Chev for a customer now and its all repo parts and he is not having it done right to make it a complete restore.
