Front Wheel bearings

I am putting new tires on one of my 49 Cubs and pulled the outer bearing and one of the needles in the bearing is gone. I want to remove and repack both front wheels but I'm not sure how the hubs come off. Does one pop the back of the hub with a hammer , use a puller or what?
Any help is appreciated. By the way , I don't contribute to the forum much but I read and enjoy it nearly every day. keep up the great work.
Elmer.

Or you could use a bearing splitter  .

If you don't have one (I'm guessing you don't :?: ), you can either buy one, or rent one.

You can pick up an offshore-made one at most auto parts stores for less than $10, which is probably what it would cost you to rent one anyway.

Thanks for the help. I havent worked on the hub yet but it evidentily just pulls off the inner bearing & grease seal. I had two 480-12 6 ply rating tires & tubes mounted since the air was starting to show through on the old ones. I thought the 6 ply might hold up better with the heavy blade.
Thanks again, Elmer.

if you need to remove and replace the bearing races from the hub, installing the new ones is a snap if you take the old race and grind the outside a bit. the object is to make the old race small enough to slip into the hub easily. you then use this modified race to drive the new one home. one of gramp's 'special' tools :!: :)
